Chester Gorge
Oil 5 x 7 inches
I painted this today after driving past this in Chester, Vermont. The State of Vermont has been using the "Stimulas" money to upgrade and beautify roadways in Vermont. As we drove past this, workers were power-blasting some of the loose rock formations - It looks beautiful! This is available on Ebay. Click Here!

Painting a Day - July 10, 2010

"Looking Out"
Oil 5 x 7
I painted this today from a watercolor study that I had done while in Maine in May of this year. The beach was kinda of cool with the sea breeze and all, but the sun was really bright. These folks, obviously from a much warmer place, were bundled up in their fall coats! It really caught my eye. This painting is available on Ebay. Click Here!

Shore Road, York Maine
Watercolor 8 x 10
This piece, which was painted plein-air (on location) is approximately 8 x 10 inches. While driving on Shore Road in York, this house and the way the light bounced off of it really caught my eye. I pulled over and quickly painted this on location, trying not to get run over by passing cars. This piece was done on stretched 140lb. Cold Press paper and finished with the finest
watercolor pigments. Unfortunately, digital cameras have a difficult time in capturing the true color and subtle gradations between colors.
This watercolor study is for sale, available on Ebay.

SOLD

New Watercolor Painting - June 24

New Watercolor
Sunrise over York Beach, Maine

Just returned home from one of our vacations to the Yorks in Southern Maine. Completed this painting, both on location (hard to see), and back in the studio. Unfortunately, the digital camera does a terrible job at capturing the sublte gradations of color. I was able to begin a number of smaller watercolor studies from this trip, and am hoping to turn several of them into new
llery pieces. This study is available on Ebay. To purchase, or see more of my other watercolor studies, click here.
